I’ve been a Celebrant for a number of years, and I have to admit – this is truly my passion!  I absolutely love meeting people and hearing their story!  I love writing and creating unique ceremonies to suit each individual couple!

I write your ceremony with love and care, as I take the extra time to really get to know you personally.  Quite often I’ve had guests come up to me and say how I had absolutely described the couple “to a tee” and they were really impressed.

I want you to have a truly memorable ceremony which you and your guests will never forget!  There’ll be fun, love, romance and a couple of surprises!

Lastly, and most importantly, I absolutely guarantee – you will never get a Boring Wedding from me!!!

I'm a young, modern and professional celebrant who feels so genuinely privileged to be able to do what I do. I pride myself on delivering highly personalised, meaningful, warm and engaging ceremonies tailored to reflect the couple's unique wishes, ideals, values and visions.

With my extensive public speaking experience, attention to detail, my love of writing and being a romantic at heart, I get so much enjoyment from watching our collaborative effort unfold before you and your guests, making your special day exactly that! 

Professionally, I've been employed for over 21 years in the travel industry, specialising in luxury five star travel. With this came the incredible experience of travelling the world and presenting my experiences and knowledge to people who wanted to travel too!

I was fortunate to do some work on 3AW on talk back radio and I've had the genuine pleasure of helping to make people’s travel dreams and desires become reality!

I know that planning a wedding can sometimes seem stressful, I aim to be the relaxing & easy part of planning your wedding. Whether I am your Celebrant, your DJ/MC or both. I use my 20+ years of experience to help bring your vision to life. 
 

For me it's not just about being a fun and engaging celebrant &/or entertainer, its the 'behind the scenes' things I do that really makes a difference. Making sure everything runs smoothly and taking the stress off you, so you can enjoy this very important life event.
 

I also own and manage Wedding Sounds, a fantastic team of entertainers and wedding specialists, that work with me to make your dream wedding come to life. 

The coming together of two people in marriage is testimony to a commitment of love for all present to witness. The ceremony may take many forms and styles from formal to informal, from urban to rural, from indoors to outdoors, from large to small, from traditional to contemporary, and from serious to humorous. The choice is yours.

Do you want to tell your story of love? How you met? Shall you write your own vows? Or shall I write them for you? Favourite poems or readings? Or perhaps you would like some suggestions about what to include. Either way … I am here to help your create the ceremony of your dreams that reflects you as individuals and now as a couple.

My background as a professor in education means that I am well positioned to act as your celebrant. I love writing in many forms. As a published author with extensive publications, I am able to write personalised ceremonies, poems and the like just for you.

I am very comfortable with the complexities of running a ceremony and liaising with all involved. Years of public speaking hold me in good stead when the unexpected occurs (as it does at times) and I can calmly adjust to ensure that the smooth flow of the ceremony continues. 

Intuitively I will adapt to your needs and wishes as I do tend to read people well but will check with you as we go.

I will guide you through the paperwork to gain the legal requirements needed to meet marrying in Australia. Mail off paperwork for your legal marriage certificate to arrive.

Along the way, I don’t doubt that we will have a few laughs while emotions will run high but don’t worry about a thing – confidentiality is high on my priorities to my clients - I’ve got your back there too!

I have been happily married since 1983 and reside on the Mornington Peninsula, with my wife Barbie, that's right her name is Barbie, (no Ken and Barbie please) we have heard then all before LOL .We have raised two beautiful daughters, whom we love so much and we have a fur baby named Toby ,the wonder dog.

Now, about your ceremony, it will have a relaxed vibe, with a touch of humour. and acknowledging the importance of the occasion, will be the perfect balance.

I'll ensure that you and your partner and all guests attending your ceremony will remember your special day, as simply the best. Whether your wedding location is a reception venue, winery, beach side, local park, a chapel or a backyard, your wedding will be unforgettable.

I've been a celebrant now for 10 years and have done hundreds of weddings. I've been to dozens of different venues and it's always wonderful to see how each of you are dressed and what themes you are having. I love the flowers, the bridesmaids and the boys of course. I've done weddings by lakes, rivers, streams, chapels, private homes, beaches, and a boat. There have been children, dogs and horses. I work hard to make sure that on the day we have a stress free and relaxed ceremony....
